THE IDEA
We were told that good work speaks for itself. It doesn't. For most of human history, your reputation was built by your tribe. Your community reflected back who you were, what you were trusted for, and what you were capable of. Modern life ended that. We were handed journals and told to look inward.
But the research is clear: humans are structurally unreliable judges of themselves. The most accomplished people in the room are often the worst at explaining why they matter. Not because the value isn't there. Because you can't read the label from inside the bottle.
"You can't read the label from inside the bottle."
In the age of AI, that blindness stops being a disadvantage and starts being an emergency. AI is consuming everything replicable: credentials, information, generic expertise. What remains is your story, your perspective, your lived experience. Your specific human signal. The people who win the next decade won't just be the most capable. They'll be the ones who figured out how to be unmistakably themselves.
Keynote Topics
Custom presentations on personal branding, thought leadership, positioning strategy, and sales psychology.
Identity · Psychology · Leadership
The central thesis and the foundation of a forthcoming TEDx Talk. Why self-perception is structurally unreliable, how identity is actually recovered, and a repeatable process for decoding your own value through the people your work has already touched.
Business conferences, leadership summits, founder events
AI · Authenticity · Competitive Advantage
While AI can replicate text, voice, and credentials, it cannot copy your actual lived experience. In a world of commoditized content, your authentic story becomes your unfair advantage. This talk reveals how to weaponize real experience and genuine storytelling as your most durable competitive moat.
AI conferences, tech summits, innovation events
Psychology · Positioning · Sales
Confused people don't buy. They don't move. They don't trust. Yet most capable founders default to copying peer language and industry jargon instead of speaking in a way their actual audience can understand. This talk breaks down the psychology behind clear positioning and how directness becomes your highest-value differentiator.
Marketing conferences, executive leadership, entrepreneur summits
Neuroscience · Attention · Conversion
Neural attention spans online are collapsing. You have 15 seconds to spark genuine curiosity and activate trust before the scroll continues. This talk reveals how to architect your digital presence, positioning, and messaging to immediately signal differentiation and compel micro-conversions of attention at scale.
Sales conferences, B2B events, consulting communities
Differentiation · Positioning · Revenue
The goal is not to be better. The goal is to be different. When you move away from competing on capability toward owning your own unique category, pricing disappears as a variable. This talk reveals how to architect a personal brand so specific it stops being compared to peers and starts commanding its own market.

About
Growing up in rural Kansas wasn't the picturesque version you see in movies. It was a small town with not a lot going on, not a lot of options, and a lot of people who had quietly given up on the idea that things could be different. Drugs were everywhere. Jobs weren't. Most people stayed because leaving felt like something that happened to other people, not people from here.
My dad died in a train accident when I was pretty young, and that kind of loss does something to the way you see time. You stop assuming you have unlimited amounts of it. A lot of what drove me came from that. Not ambition in the flashy sense. More like a deep refusal to let my life just happen to me by default.
I wasn't easy to deal with as a kid. Smart, but channeling it in all the wrong directions. Getting into fights. Getting kicked out of school. Being the kind of teenager who gave the adults around me plenty of reasons to write me off. And most of them did.
I spent a lot of time in the library because it was the only place in town where the world felt bigger than it was. There was a librarian there who started treating me differently than most adults did. Not like a problem to be managed. More like someone she was genuinely curious about. One day she told me she didn't think I was meant to stay here. That she could see something in me built for a bigger world.
She had looked at me from the outside and seen something I couldn't see from inside. She read a label I was too close to read myself. And once someone reflects that back to you, once you catch a glimpse of it, you can't fully unsee it.
I studied applied clinical neuroscience in Los Angeles, worked in a clinical research lab connected to UCLA, and ghost-wrote for neuroscientists on Psychology Today. Then came Asia. A one-way ticket. Buddhist monks in Thailand, a blockchain startup in Vietnam, a startup incubator in Bangkok, a sales floor in London. I closed deals with executives at Amazon, Meta, Bain Capital, and the Navy SEALs. Helped put a nine-time NYT bestselling author on Joe Rogan and Good Morning America. Built Brand Alchemy from zero to seven figures.
What I discovered across every room, every industry, every country: the most capable person is almost never the one who can clearly explain why they matter. Not because they lack talent. Because they can't see themselves clearly. Human perception is structurally broken when it comes to self-assessment.
"I am not what I think I am, and I am not what you think I am; I am what I think you think I am."
Charles Horton Cooley
I became obsessed with one question. How does trust actually form? The answer is neurological, and it has almost nothing to do with better LinkedIn graphics or clever marketing. The strongest positioning isn't manufactured. It's uncovered. It comes from your real experience and the specific way you see the world, not a persona borrowed from someone else.
I stand on the outside and read the label back to you. Then I translate what I see into something the market can actually act on. That's the work.
